巴勒斯坦頭巾（音譯結菲亞）如今已成為巴勒斯坦身份認同的象徵之一。這款傳統圍巾最初是農民與貝都因人用以遮擋陽光與沙塵的紡織品。在過去一個世紀，它因象徵團結精神而被廣泛佩戴，以及多位具代表性的巴勒斯坦人物使用，逐漸成為巴勒斯坦民族標誌之一。此外，巴勒斯坦頭巾亦在全球各地被視為支持與聲援巴勒斯坦人的象徵。

巴勒斯坦頭巾的黑白紋樣蘊含豐富的象徵意義。中央交錯的線條代表漁網，象徵巴勒斯坦的傳統漁業與生計。邊緣的波浪線條象徵橄欖葉，彰顯橄欖樹在巴勒斯坦文化與經濟中的深厚意義。而縱橫交錯的組線則象徵途經巴勒斯坦的古代貿易路線。

於 1961 年成立、以創辦人名字命名的希爾巴維是目前巴勒斯坦僅存的兩家頭巾工廠之一。她致力於傳承與保護巴勒斯坦頭巾的編織工藝，在進口替代品湧入市場的挑戰下，希爾巴維仍堅守本土製造，確保這一承載著巴勒斯坦身份與文化的編織品能夠延續下去。

The Palestinian keffiyeh (kufiya) has become one of the most significant symbols of Palestinian identity. Originally a traditional textile used by farmers and Bedouins to shield themselves from the sun and dust, it has evolved over the past century into a powerful emblem of unity. Widely worn by prominent Palestinian figures, the keffiyeh has gradually cemented its place as a national symbol. Beyond Palestine, it is also recognized globally as a sign of support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The black-and-white patterns of the keffiyeh hold deep symbolic meanings. The interwoven lines at the center represent fishing nets, reflecting Palestine’s traditional fishing industry and livelihoods. The wavy lines along the edges symbolize olive leaves, emphasizing the profound cultural and economic importance of olive trees in Palestinian society. Additionally, the intersecting grid-like lines are said to symbolize the ancient trade routes that passed through Palestine, highlighting its historical role as a hub of commerce and exchange.

Founded in 1961 and named after its founder, Hirbawi is currently one of the two remaining factories in Palestine producing traditional keffiyehs. Dedicated to preserving and protecting the art of keffiyeh weaving, the factory continues to uphold local craftsmanship despite challenges from mass-produced imports. Hirbawi remains steadfast in ensuring that this culturally significant textile continues to be locally manufactured, carrying forward its legacy.
